继之前介绍了一部分托福听力信号词之后，本期重庆新航道学校Sukey老师继续带大家探索其他的“救命稻草”，以此帮助考生们抓取更多关键信息。

　　1、并列类信号词

　　并列类信号词一般用于描述细节，提示了两个词或两个句之间平等并列的关系。而在考生们常年被坑的托福听力多选题中，捕捉并列信息尤为重要。常见的并列信号词有：

　　first;second;third;for one thing;for another;and;also;plus;as well;next;

　　例题1：(TPO25 Conversation2 Q5)

　　According to the professor, how does a whale conserve oxygen while underwater?

　　[Click on 2 answers.]

　　A. Its heart rate decreases.

　　B. Its lung capacity temporarily increases.

　　C. It slows the pace of its swimming.

　　D. Blood flow to certain organs is decreased.

　　这道题正确答案为AD。原文“When a whale dives, its metabolic rate drops, causing its heartbeat to slow down. And the blood flow to its muscles and some of its non-vital organs, like its kidneys, is also cut off. ”由and引出并列信息，只要考生能捕捉到and前后的关键信息metabolic rate↓→heartbeat ↓及→blood organs, 就能选出AD选项。

　　例题2：(TPO45 Conversation1 Q3)

　　How does the student usually obtain information about campus events?

　　[Click on 2 answers.]

　　A. She reads about them on the university Web site.

　　B. She learns about them at her place of work.

　　C. She sees the posters on a bulletin board.

　　D. Her roommate tells her about them.

　　这道题正确答案为BC。原文中学生说“Well, I work at the college newspaper, so I should be able to keep on top of what’s going on. Plus, there’s the bulletin board outside the dining hall …” 只要考生能捕捉到Plus前后的newspaper(即学生工作的地方)和bulletin board, 就能选出BC选项。

　　2. 转折类信号词

　　转折类信号词是对前文的否定，转折后出现的强调信息多为出题点。常见的转折信号词有：

　　but;however;nevertheless;while;whereas;yet;on the contrary;in fact (隐藏的转折关系);

　　例题：(TPO51 Conversation1 Q4)

　　Why does the woman mention the information in the poster?

　　A. To point out that the tour leader's name was not listed

　　B. To point out a problem with the student's suggestion about walking to the gallery

　　C. To explain why so few students signed up for the trip

　　D. To explain why the bus would not be available for taking the students on the trip

　　这道题正确答案为B。原文中对于Jack提出的两批人用不同的交通方式去艺术画廊，Director说“But remember, Jack, the poster advertises you as the tour leader. Not everybody’s as adventurous about getting around the city. You’d need to find someone to accompany people on the bus … then you’d take the walkers …” 考生们可以通过捕捉But得知这个安排存在问题，即Jack是poster上说到的领队，如果他带队员走铁路，就还需要一个人来陪伴坐公交车的人，而选项 A 说“为了指出导游的名字不在海报上”，选项 C 说“为了解释为什么这么少的学生参加活动”，选项 D说“为了解释为什么不能坐公交车去旅行”，都不符合原文，因此只有选项B正确。
