This is a funny but thought-provoking cartoon: on the bed, there is a young fat woman, daydreaming that her figure has become as slim as an angel’s, with great satisfaction on her face. Although the dream is gorgeous, when the alarm rings, her sweet dream is spoiled. This scene seems common at the first sight but enlightening on the second thought. 

Apparently, such a scenario can be naturally associated with the significance of actions and striving for success. In reality, a host of young people are ambitious for their future but take no action. This phenomenon is particularly worth concerning. It is their day-dreaming attitudes that cause them to accumulate inadequate motivation or competence to achieve their ambitions.Striving, to my understanding, can be likened to a journey, leading to a promising future. Only striving and efforts can bring us confidence, arouse our enthusiasm for life and help us conquer hardships. Unfortunately, laziness has constituted an obstacle that hinders many youngsters’ growth and progress.

 As youngsters, we are supposed to work hard every day to enhance our comprehensive quality for the purpose of realizing our dreams. Then, the society as a whole should construct a positive atmosphere to reject and criticize young people’s laziness. We should bear in mind that laziness means one’s biggest enemy and success originates from striving and efforts.
