The two pie charts compare the 20-year changes in regard to water consumption among residents of UK.
Bathroom started off the highest amount in 1988, with a quarter of total water consumption, and the next two decades witnessed a 4% mount. Interestingly, this had been compensated by a 4% drop from toilet water use to 14% by 2008.
However, the researched inhabitants consumed almost a similar proportion of water in clothes washing in those years, keeping stable at roughly 20%. Additionally, the need for water used for food and kitchenware showed the most observable rise, doubling the value up to 30% until 2008.
Lastly, gardening water use had declined significantly from 20% to 8% in this period and was the lowest part of water consumer in 2008.
In conclusion, the domestic water supply in UK mainly served for hygienic purposes and the five shown purposes were comparatively stable from 1988 to 2008.
大作文
The best way to deal with the problem related to the traffic and transportation is to encourage people to live in cities rather than in suburbs and countryside. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
可取之处:缩短通勤距离:
不可取:都住在城市一定导致人口密度变大,密度过高导致:1. 城市扩大 - 通勤距离仍然长;2. 公交过于拥挤,更多人买私家车,更堵;
观点弱点:没考虑堵车要素:高峰期;城中心;私家车多。所以没用

Governments have been taking measures with an attempt to take down the volume of traffic in urban surroundings for decades and civil planners have devised a range of methods trying to solve the more serious existing status of traffic congestion, none of which is, although some still believe in, to encourage residents to live inside cities instead of rural and country areas. I consider this proposal rather superficial and ineffective, not to mention subsequent problems caused by this idea.
At the first glance, if the suggestion were to be implemented, the commuting distance would be shortened. For better cooperative and communicative purposes, most large businesses are located in downtown and central areas of cities, which has become the destinations of most commuters, and if employees of each company lived within walking distances from their workplace or at least in urban areas, they could make a good use of greener means of transport such as walking, cycling as well as the developed public transportation. In this case, there could be fewer private vehicles on road so that the traffic congestion would be alleviated and even solved.
However, the scenario is quite short-sighted and ignorant about people' s choice. If the city prospers under the circumstance, more immigrants will swarm into the city and thus raise population density to its limit. In consequence, the cities have to be expanded to accommodate more investments and dwellers, and the distances from home to workplace will be lengthened as all employees are not able to afford the property prices and permanent in one organization, which, as a result, counsels out walkers and cyclists. In regard to passengers on buses and trains, many of them will become drivers in their own vehicles, because the cabins of public means of transport will become extremely crowded and uncomfortable thanks to new immigrants.
In conclusion, there are hardly any government adopting this proposed solution in the global context due to its impractical nature and the ignorance about the core to solve traffic jams to reduce volume of traffic in urban areas during rush hours.
