本次小作文考察的是静态图（线图），图中包含四种交流方式(Post, Telephone, Mobile phones, Internet), 以及四个年龄段的人(Under 18 years old, 18-35, 35-65, 60+)。此类年龄段的题在之前同样也出现过，可以就按照常规的静态图的处理方式，分别分析每一个年龄段对于不同的交流方式的喜好，进行相应的对比，比如年龄越大的群体更依赖传统的交流方式，比如Post and telephone, 而年轻群体更依赖现代电子技术和设备。整体看下来本次小作文的难度适中。

本次大作文考察的是犯罪类双边讨论类题型，是2013年2月16日的题重考。对于罪犯的处理方式之一，即being put into prison 可以带来的好处大家应该都是比较熟悉的，至于alternatives的好处其实也并不是特别难分析，但是可以多注意一下题干上面的all，其实是一个提示，即可以考虑到罪行的严重性。整体来看本次大作文的难度适中。

It is true that there has been a heated debate on the law used to discipline people. While some argue that serving jail time is important for the rehabilitation of all criminals, I still hold the opinion that the severity of the crime should be taken into consideration and alternatives also deserve due attention.

Argument 1: 将罪犯们关进监狱里能够better protect the security of the public
Supporting Evidence: (Example) 针对一些重罪，比如murder, if the perpetrator was not put behind the bars, the safety of the residents might be threatened, 且会造成民众们的恐慌.
Argument 2: 将罪犯们关进牢房能够help promote the awareness of law and deter people with ulterior motives
Supporting Evidence: confinement in the cells意味着罪犯们的自由受到极大地限制，且会经历mental disorder such as depression, which can be a torture. (Example) It is indicated by police around the world, 不论the magnitude of unlawful action,就算仅仅只在监狱里关一天, future involvement is discouraged
· Paragraph 3 –Body 2 – other alternatives
Argument 1: 给罪犯们提供vocational education and job training能帮助他们出狱之后更好重新融入社会
Supporting Evidence: 很多罪犯因为在监狱里面并不能学到什么生存技能，所以出狱之后通常会因为难以找到工作维持生活而选择commit crimes again, 而这样的做法能够improve their employability and reduce the recidivism rate
Argument 2: 给罪行比较轻一些的罪犯们安排社区劳动能够让他们make some contribution to the society
Supporting Evidence: 这样的做法能够让罪犯们recognize their value to the community and help them regain self-respect and self-confidence
· Paragraph 4 – Conclusion - 重申个人观点 + 分论点总结
In conclusion, I reiterate my earlier statement that 罪行的严重程度应该被考虑在内，轻罪者可以有alternatives但重罪犯还是应该被关进监狱
