e.g.
Mounting evidence shows that there is a conclusive relationship betweenthe increased crime rate and the imprisonment of criminals.
Extensive research has established that there is a close link between the epidemics of obesity among teenagers in the United States and the over-consumption of fast foods.
Most commercials can provide the public with a wide range of useful information they desire for. For instance, by comparing the prices, the functions and the brands advertised, a housewife can secure the best purchase at the most reasonable price; a student who has a hard time learning a subject can find the most suitable cram school from the flood of schools; a business person can find the most ideal partner he/she wants to cooperate with or the most profitable line he/she is interested in.
对比论证：两个事物的性质相反
e.g.
In general, boys tend to take science courses while girls prefer liberal arts.
A large majority of the elderly would enjoy taking up a job as their lifelong profession.On the contrary, most young people pursue different jobs with better prospects and higher pay.
The expenditures on educating criminals, high as they may be, pale by comparison tothe outlay on building prisons and recruiting staff to supervise them.
类比论证：两个事物的性质相近或者相同
e.g.
Knowledge is of prime importance to students, without which, never can a student achieve something in his/her life. The same goes true with experience.
A student buries his/her head reading in a library or doing researches in a laboratory all day long may tum out to be nobody but a book nerd. Likewise, a student only cares about wandering around the world but seldom pay heed to the accumulation of knowledge may end up with doing lowly-paid jobs in his/her entire life.
The number of students recorded in the thin line doubled, rising from 200 in 1990 to 400 in 2000. Similarly, the thick line experienced a similar upward trend during the same period.
因果论证(包括前果后因和前因后果)
e.g.
Advertising benefits consumers in that the abundant information it contains and spreads can help consumers, especially the frugal housewives, to get/secure the best buy by comparing prices and qualities of items/articles of similar brands.
Since children, more often than not, are poorly disciplined and vulnerable to be distracted, playing computer games and watching television may have some negative effects on them.
